This group is for serious music fans who want a forum to share their love of garage bands. From its beginnings in the 1960s, garage rock has had an indie spirit--a group of friends, jamming together, with no record execs looking over their shoulders, drawn together by the visceral, primitive, driving thrill of the music. Since then, garage bands have absorbed and transformed many influences: rock, blues, punk, country, lo-fi,& electronica, to name a few. We will share our favorite bands, discover new ones, & get lost together in the music.
