There is no system but GNU, and Linux is one of its kernels!

Hi Richard, Hi friends, it's normal, I think, that we need a new diskussion here on this music - planet. How do You think about my suggestion? May I introduce You to Mr. fussel: I'm without any reservation. I'm linux - user for some years, because it's better and it's now a chance for us. 20 Years ago linux was born. I believe linux ;-) is a prelude for our idea. We must promote it. Thank You

alienjr: In my opinion, it's important to stress the connection between free software and the GNU operating system as well as the Free Software Foundation. Some liberals/libertarians would rather not have us consider the fact that there is a physical reality in which our freedom is threatened. Our first and only line of defense against proprietary software and other such threats to our freedom is activism, not only writing code, but also in "taking to the streets" as necessary. That is to say, we need to loudly voice our concerns about issues such as DRM, proprietary software and net neutrality. This begins with the GPL but in many ways goes beyond that. FSF is one of the most important forces in this ongoing struggle. It's important to recognize this, and the GNU operating system, to get more people involved. In the end, freedom is not something we can take for granted nor something we get for free.

There is a group for "GNU" fans, let's make this grup for "Free Software" fans, not "Free Software by GNU people" fans.

Ambybunny: I'm GNU fan, but there are prople on this globe who are fans of Free Software, but they don't support GNU. I suggest to change this logo to meet such people. Don't be fanatic. Tolerance is usually good idea. I know that GPL is most common in Free and Open Source Software world, but it's not one and only one.

FreeSoftware isn't only GNU Project. I suppose to change this logo for something neutral.
