    How to create new columns in foobar?

  • Click "More..." in that menu, and you'll be taken to the Playlist View preferences.

    In the "Custom Columns" section, click the "Add New" button. You can use title formatting strings in the "Pattern" column to achieve whatever formatting you want for your custom column.

    I want a column of genre. Does not seem as simple as...

  • It's really simple.

    Take what ScudScrobbler said:

    Then, under "Pattern" type %genre%, and change the name to Genre.

    Then right-click on the top of your music list, and check off your new Genre column.
