    What DSP's do you use?

Currently the only ones I use are

ATsurround processor (foo dsp atsurround) & Noise Sharpening (foo dsp delta).

Am I missing out on anything good?

  • The only "interesting" DSP I use is the Bauer stereophonic-to-binaural DSP when I'm wearing headphones. It's a really nice crossfeed-type plugin that uses some fancy math equations to make listening on headphones a lot less fatiguing.

    Equalizer ;)

  • Skip Silence
    Advanced Limiter

(using headphones but don't like crossfeed (including the Bauer DSP))

  • Equalizer and Convert stereo to 4 channels.

  • Skip silence
    Gapless Crossfader

  • Reverse and Crossfader.

I'm also on headphones a lot, esp. when working, so I'm looking into Bauer stereophonic-to-binaural DSP as well.

    Channel Mixer
    Advanced Limiter

If you use an earphone, you should definitely try out Channel Mixer + Dolby Headphone. It sounds FANTASTIC!

  • Channel Mixer
    Dolby Pro Logic II

The effect for channel mixer + dolby headphone is somewhat similar to channel mixer + dolby Pro Logic II =/

I guess I'm boring that way, I like my music to come out exactly the way it was recorded.

  • Mainly I use Convolver...

    Only original sound.

Solely ASIO 2.0 with my Audiotrak Prodigy HD2 but it is not DSP.

    Resampler (PPHS)
    Channel Mixer
    Dolby Headphone
    Advanced Limiter

Because I listen to everything 100% on headphones (it's been almost 4 years since I last used speakers, I think...) but it's only been within the last half a year that I've started using DSPs. And at the risk of sounding like an ad, I can't listen to music on the 'phones without it anymore! It's so good. I've tried ATSound Processor and Bauer stereophonic-to-binaural DSP but this one fit best I suppose.

I used to use Convert stereo to 4 channels before this instead of Channel Mixer. Channel Mixer's more customizable but it takes some tweaking and learning to stop wanting perfection because some songs inevitably sound muddier... and when you change it to make it sound nicer, other songs sound bad. Meh. :)

  • while working with PC and listening

    with speakers:
    - Gapeless Crossfader
    - Equalizer // sometimes, just for loudness

    with headphones:
    - Gapeless Crossfader
    - Resampler (PPHS)
    - Channel Mixer // general 6, upmix off, subw. off
    - VST bridge // with V.I Suite
    - Dolby Headphone // DH.DLL ver, DH1, dc enabled
    - Advanced Limiter

otherwise I'm streaming with my Sonos...

    ... ツ
  • Winamp DSP bridge with Jammix Enhancer
    Advanced limiter

    Just Bauer stereophonic-to-binaural DSP.

Makes listening on headphones much more pleasant.
