Politically progressive bands?

Hello everyone,
I'm tired of cynical & nihilist political punk; does anyone know any global leftist punk, a la The Clash, Gary Floyd, Stiff Little Fingers (not looking for anarcho, crust, or "smash-the-state" bands). I'm training for social work & would love some progressive/left punk that affirms human decency, maybe focusing on the poor or oppressed, or multiculturalism? Lyrically Anti-Flag is this kind of band but I'm not into that modern/Warped Tour sound. Advice? THANKS! :)
