What would you change or add to Fire.fm?

Post your ideas here! I hope our support will help jenrique7 and jorgevillalobos in developing Fire.fm.

There is another addon called "Now Playing X" which does this kind of thing in Windows for youtube videos and some other media. We talked to them and they will support Fire.fm tracks in their future release. I'm excited about that feature, look forward to it ;)

  • Group stations

I can listen to my own station, my friends' stations, tagged stations, my neighbours' stations, and music recommendations by Last.fm, but I can't listen to my groups stations (or certain group's station). That would be great to have ;n).

What about a thumb to expand list for button with Audioscrobbler logo? And there will be quick links to logged user's friends, neighbours, groups, favourited tags and bands pages. Just like quick links to radio stations.

I wouldn't want to change anything on the design/userinterface just enahance the code so fire.fm will continue to work even on slower pcs :)

That is something we're planning on adding in the future, so stay put ;).

We'll certainly look into that, but we can't do much more than what Last.fm already does.

I would like to see some sort of visualizer, just to add a little something. You know, like the one in iTunes you can replace the now playing info. with.

  • My Loved tracks

I would dearly love to be able to listen to My Loved Tracks - or perhaps other users loved tracks - is this in the pipeline?

Good work all who developed this as its the only way I have found to listen and scrobble while at work - so cheers!

  • play playlists

This is a feature that would only benifit subscribers (I think), but I would love it if I'd be able to play my playlists with fire.fm :)

    Volume

first of all thanks for fire.fm! It's a great tool and i use it every day.
The only think i would change is the possibility to change the volume just by holding the mouse pointer over the volume icon and using the mouse weel. that would be great. :)

    best regards

  • One small feature which would be infinitely cool (for me at least, and I'd guess anyone else who actually uses them) is if you could somehow make the add-on controllable via a keyboard's media hotkeys.

  • Be Able to Listen to Individual Songs

The only recommendation I have is to support the ability to listen to an individual song in Fire.FM. That would definitely make use of Last.fm's HUGE library of songs!

More info on the pop-up window

It would be cool to see if the playing track has been 'loved' or tagged.

And what exactly is a dream?
And what exactly is a joke?

  • I think it would be nicer if it could be linked into the media player you use to scrobble songs, i.e. Windows Media Player or iTunes. This could control the media player if you didn't just want to listen to an artist station.

  • I'm going to +1 for subscriber only radio stations, at the moment I'm planning to use the greasemonkey script (if it's able to do such a thing)

Thanks for making a wonderful plugin!

  • The only change I can think of is add at which point to scrobble the song such as the Last.fm players scrobble at 50%. Other than that I think its an excellent. Also when using the last.fm program, you can see what song you are currently listening to on the last.fm website. It would be nice to see that for fire.fm also.

This feature cannot be added, because this is a Radio-Service, and when you want to hear individual songs, you couldn't hear it for free.
In this case, you can also hear your music on Youtube or something else.

  • Not a fan of tool bars so I've got it running in the status bar, it would be nice if I could choose its position like you can with some other add ons.

    Great app though.

You can use Organize Status Bar to change it's position.

  • Thanks -sin

I found that just after installing Fire.fm, not sure how many add ons is too many but I'd like to not reach that point.

  • I would add the ability to play your loved tracks and multiple artists.

  • Add support for Windows Messenger :) now currently playing... But must say thisis a great addon!

  • now playing in last.fm

when i am using fire.fm, last.fm does not show up any "now playing" data even if something is playing. i would love to have that feature because i use it for livejournal and other sites to display what i'm playing when i make a post!
