@steve Chris Murray is still going strong! He's playing in London on the 30th of January at the Underworld. It's going to be good!

  • Do Make Say Think - Other Truths
    Akron/Family - Set 'Em Wild, Set'Em Free
Shoes and Socks Off - Hand Reared Suburban Piglet
    Tortoise - Beacons of Ancestorship
    Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix

  • 1/ Grammatics by Grammatics.
If I could only listen to one song ever again from 2009 it would be Relentless Fours

2/ It's Blitz by the YYYs.
Cause Karen-O is a babe and it's danceable and poppy in exactly the way that all the new bloc party stuff fails to be.

3/ I Had the Blues but i shook them loose by the Bombay Bicycle Club. Because they're the new precocious london yoofs to get excited about innit. (depressingly, the precocious yoofs to get excited about are YONGER than me, I am past it at 20, fml)

    4/ Manners by Passion Pit
Because my mum likes them, which, Bublé aside, is usual a good sign.

    5/ Skywriter by DatA
    Vive le France.

This band really impressed me live.

Same, I had a couple of friends who went to the underage festival when we were kids and they've been banging on about BBC for years.
Also since posting my list, i decided to listen to whoever this xx lot everyone was banging on about. Very Impressed, might knock out passion pit from my list. I'll give it a week.

actually, "I had the blues but i shook them loose" is really good, BBC are really interesting live, it's impossible to take your eyes off the lead singer.

    Yes! The J-Lew!

    But also,

    Neko Case - Middle Cyclone
Casiotone for the Painfully Alone - Vs. Children
The Cave Singers - Welcome Joy
probably second that Dirty Projectors album.
