    Radio streaming via proxy

Has anyone tried listening through a proxy? Does it work?

There's gotta be a way to fool the system somehow.

In Last.fm client, there's a place to put your proxy settings.
    Options > Connection

Maybe there's a way with a US/UK/DE proxy? I don't know much about this kind of stuff :P

    Last.fm program : tools>options>connection : proxy settings : mark - manually and fill the two first fields (host : 66.199.247.42 and port : 6649 )

  • if you get the msg:
last.fm server are overloaded, please try again in a moment
    then don't give up!

    maybe it works fine soon

you can check more proxys at google and share

    195.60.3.121:8080 uk proxy

  • Try program Hotspot Shield.

  • Well, I tried to do it as klararock said and the Last.fm program didn't want to load the radio. It said "The servers are overloaded. Try again later". But I made the radio work the other way. I'm using the Ad Muncher - ad blocking program which can use proxy too. I just had to turn "IP Scramble" in Ad Muncher, become the USA user for a while :), go to the Last.fm radio site and turn the radio on it. After connecting (which can take a minute) I could turn of the proxy and surf on the internet normally - with the radio playing. I recommend this solution, it's really simple :)

  • yes, you can fool the system. Check this out:
    http://www.ghacks.net/2008/01/29/configure-tor-to-use-a-specific-country-as-an-exit-node/
You install the "Vidalia bundle" and configure it as described and you can listen as if you were in the States!
Free last.fm or Fuck last.fm... or trick it!!! LMAO!!!

  • Oh, and the "buffering" between tracks does get slower... but nothing terrible...

  • hotspot shield works correctly!! :)
    try it

the only thing that i heard and it's maybe 'not ok' that you have download limits.
i mean it's about 5 gigs per month. if you wannt to download with torrents and from other stuff,, then that's what i know!

it's a really great article found on here

  • Thanks guys

  • try these, they work too

    Why kill time
    when you can kill yourself
  • Proxy from Germany Germany 78.46.255.91 53
I live close.. in poland.... i guess it works like it.. so just choose a country closest to you

  • you can using hotspot shield (with ads) or ultrasurf (no ads) to listen last.fm radio , both of them using US IP .

  • http://www.lastfm.com.pl/ fresh proxies every 15min - works 100% <3
