Hello All

Firstly, I'd like to offer a warm welcome to all the new members. It is good to have you with us. I am sure you'll enjoy the contest throughout the year.

To the existing members from year's gone by...welcome back!

After last season's exciting contest, it was again won by the Shady Lady, and by doing so, became the first singer ever to defend her title successfully.

It is going to be fun to see if anyone can take away her crown this season.

For the new members who are a little unsure as to how the contest runs, here are the basic guidelines:

1. Voting starts on Sunday and ends the following Sunday.
2. We only vote for one country (but sometimes two) at a time.
3. You are asked to submit your Top 10 favourite songs from that country, using the usual ESC scoring: 1-8, 10,12 points.
4. Please submit your Top 10 by REPLYING/SENDING a message to myself (all you need to do is wait for the message to arrive each Sunday). Under no circumstances must your votes be made public, especially through Last.FM shouts. (By REPLYING/SENDING your message your votes come back into my Inbox (and remain secure until the result is announced).
5. Results are tallied throughout the week, with a last minute reminder sent out on Saturday to all members. (Don't resubmit your votes again, if you had already done so earlier in the week).
6. The full result will be published on Sunday (NZ time), in a Last FM message, and individual votes will be uploaded into DISCUSSIONS inside Eurovision Champions for everyone to view.

(It's not at all complicated....just a simple little weekly game).

We encourage all members to give their thoughts on what they think of that particular countries entries, along with your impressions of the songs in your top 10.

Okay, so we are ready to kick off for 2011-12...so it's on with the show.
