  Well, let's see, Natacha Atlas album "Foretold in the Language of Dreams" is an interesting Arabic ethereal/meditative music. A Filetta/artist] is a Corsican band performing mystical polyphonic singing. Moon Far Away Russian neofolk/ethereal band. Le Mystère Des Voix Bulgares is a Bulgarian folk collective creating great musical atmosphere. These artists are quite different from usual Persian sounds but they have ethnic influences and create spiritual, floating music that could be called ethereal.

  It's interesting why ethnic ethereal is considered only Persian (and similar) music? Why for example Balkanian ethnic ambient music or sufi music isn't connected?
