Kevin Smith Planning A Warren Zevon Hockey Movie

from cinemablend.com ................... " MTV scored an interview with the director where he revealed that he’s planning a film based on a Warren Zevon hockey song called “Hit Somebody”. The song is about a hockey goon who loves playing, but has no skill, and so the only way he can stay on the ice is by being the team’s enforcer. "

  • Cool!

  • Nice, but the theme reminds of Happy Gilmore where Adam Sandler is trying to get into the Ice Hockey Team but he is too violent and not enough skill. I'm sure most of you have seen it.

  • Apparently, Smith is getting serious about this project and is looking at Wil Wheaton to star in it:

And apparently filming in Detroit from what I've heard. Damnit. When is there going to be a hockey movie filmed in Canada? It is our national sport afterall.
