  • Demo version of Waiting for Black Metal Records to Come in the Mail is br00tal. Haven't listened past that yet, though, but I'm sure the rest is also pretty frostbitten. Thanks for the comp!

Is there any difference at all between the album version of the Big Gloom and this one?

Holy shit when were Human Error and Trespassers from? Completely different from anything off the album. Still fucking awesome tracks though.

  • some of the "powers of 10" songs are more or less the same, mixed slightly differently, or just included for completion's sake.

a few of the songs like Trespassers were one-take experiments.

Some of these songs are getting re-recorded for the next record.

Oh. Dunno what Powers of 10 is but whatever. Also I'm really fucking stoked for the new record, then. Destinos is the shit.

  • Powers of 10 was the demo that preceded Deathconsciousness.

D_W_B, yes, most of these songs are sourced from the blog. I spent quite some time collecting them, so I figured I would make it easier for everyone else by just posting them together.

There are still a few tracks that I didn't include - a re-recorded version of Sisyphus called Stars And Air, as well as a track called Basic - so I might lump those in with a few other things.

Dan also has the Have A Nice Life Vs. You demo from waaaay back in 2003, but that's not on the internets atm.

There was also at least one track that Dan specifically asked me not to include (he actually threatened me with disembowelment if I released it) so you'll be hearing that on some future release I suspect - it's also really fucking good.

  • Awesome! Thanks for this.

Dan if you upload that 03 demo I'll put it in a special folder previously reserved for All Lights Fucked on the Hairy Amp Drooling. Just sayin'. Also I'd show you how to make an ascii motorik beat.

D_W_B, all the tracks on the album have been edited somewhat. Many of the tracks are rather rough demos, so they have long silences at their respective beginnings and/or endings. I edited the last minute of silence off the end of Destinos for example.

  • fucking A these some of these are better than the final work!!

    thanks alot!

  • I love the album art.... where is it from?... i know its still Marat but i've never seen this painting before...

The art comes from the painting Charlotte Corday by Paul-Jacques-Aimé Baudry:

When I was doing the art I actually looked into a number of different Marat paintings (there have actually been a lot). This one is my favorite, but I couldn't get it in high res:

  • Again, rorix, thanks for putting all this stuff together. I love the choice of art.

  • If anyone upload or direct me toward this "Sisyphus", it would be greatly appreciated.

  • It's included in the download that's in the first post.

  • Ah, I thought it was odd that I had two versions of "Defenstration Song" that sounded nothing alike... mistagged, I guess.
