Warumpi Band were pioneers in getting indigenous-language rock on the radio in the 80s. They stick to a different kind of traditional instrumentation - guitar, bass, drums - but many of their songs are in their native Luritja language.

I thought Warumpi Band sung in Yolngu but I could be wrong!
