  • just figured out why i'm here

hi metricks! thanks for having me in your group!i've been trying for the longest to figure out how i got here. now i realize it's you! i'm eric, aka HipGnosis. my project consists of trying to infiltrate the mainstream rap culture with bizarre broken electronic beats, bringing it up to date and in line with other primarily electronic musics. i think that's the best way to put it for right now. i'll probably elaborate later. i like to rant occasionally. heehee

  • hi Gligor, Heike and Hipgnosis

About CO2 if i get knowledge of any available work of them, i will drop you a word.

Heike, you didn´t told us is that your musical project? it would be great to know :)

And Eric thanks for the presentation :)

  • part of my mission is to change the consciousness of the mainstream society. i think hip hop and pop have more of a chance to gain hold of people's bodies, and if you've got their bodies, you've got their minds, usually.

    Hey.

For the past couple of years I've been producing little electronic bits and pieces to improve my compositional skill. The tunes I have on lfm are old news. I suffer badly from artist's syndrome, so I hate most of my earlier music. Hopefully I'll be happy in the future. :)

Best of luck to all the musicians here trying to make something of themselves. Same to those who are doing it just for fun!

It is really great to have a manifesto of action...a guide line for our motivation, and i like yours :)

  • You are most welcome! and i wish you a lot of success! You are a lot talented that is for sure, and don´t go down if you don´t think that a site or any omd is not giving you the deserved credits. To believe in an artistic pursue of any order, we have to be faithfull to our believes, no matter what the outside world treat us

I really wish you the best! You produce great music!

  • Hi people!

pls check me out... and enjoy the trip! ;)

Great group... I love electronic music (from the mellow Mike Oldfield & Alan Parsons to the ambience of Vangelis and Brian Eno, to the more experimental of Mark Snow), and is great to see many electro-fan and artists around here!
    :-)

  • Hi everybody,
glad to be here, this group looks great!

I love Electronic music like you all (and I love to compose Electronic songs too, obviously...).
    My favs?
In this genre I adore The Alan Parsons Project and Mike Oldfield, J. Michel Jarre and Vangelis.
But sometimes it's nice listening to pure Electronica music, like Kraftwerk.

About indie music, my favs are The Wimshurst's Machine and I'm going to discover new Electronic music from this site for sure!!
    Cheers, Corrado :)

cest une figure de origami :) une oiseau
    (my french is terrible :)

of course you can contact me, and there are a lot of people here that for sure will point you great music, but as you say, there is nothing like our senses and ears :)
I believe that if you make a round in the profiles of the members of this group, you will find a lot of music that i bet you are going to love it :)

in the name of the independent movement of artists i say:
Welcome to this new world! :) des musique vraiment diferent!

  • It's the Middle of the Night in the Opposite Hemisphere and Hello to Your Dreaming...

This is the first inspiration I've had to talk about my art since arriving at this wonderful site. Ta for that, my new mates :)

At this point in my life I am mostly interested in being here and discovering the wonderful, deep underground music to be found in this place. I've been making CD compilation albums for real life friends here in Australia who will never have heard any of the music I'm hearing here, and I'm very much enjoying the creative process of designing each mix just for the particular individual who will receive it.

I've also recently started providing random vocal samples for Titee to include in his experimental techno tracks(http://www.last.fm/music/Titee%2B%2526%2BPixieguts). I've been singing and playing folky guitar since I was a child, mostly as a celebrated lounge room and party singer (lol) but, oddly enough, I was also in musical theatre and operetta when I was younger. My favourite song to sing for about 15-20 years (!) has been Summertime.

Again, thank you for giving me the opportunity to rave on :)

My most celebrated artistic life has actually been in short film-making where I have won many international awards as a director. These days, however, I am more into digital video and only when I feel like it!

I love life and I love art! Thank you :) kiss kiss

  • The eyes are the window to the soul... Music is the door!!

That's in a short time explained what drives me to make music!

First of all. Big thank you for letting The Mental Attack be part of this group. I'm very thankful for people supporting what I do. So if I can help in ANY Way let me know!

I know some of the members of this group

Metricks for instance. I knew his music before this group. Partly because of his intense efforts to promote his music on this site (and I'm grateful for that), but also because his collaboration JDVoid vs Metricks is by listening habit a similar artist of The Mental Attack. And I'm glad to stand next to people like these!

I know hypgnosis mostly because I listen a lot to the similar artists radio of Dabrye . And hell yeah i can hear the resemblance!!! I like it

On one fine day The Wimshurst's Machine stumbled in to my recommendation radio and I knew this was something I had to follow!

Besides that my good old Electrobel-buddies of the Chill Conspiracy are in this group too. I'm glad for that because they made the most beautiful trip-hop track EVER Moments!

I feel electronic music these days has gone from abstract to very cold. With my music I'm trying to step away from that. Big influences are The Future Sound of London, The Black Dog, Brian Eno, The Sabres of Paradise,...

Hell i hope you like it!

For those who are not mentioned in here. I have yet to discover you so surprise me!!!

    Cheers

    Gert

Oh yeah don't forget to stop by on my website: www.doorchaser.tk
