Description:
Wear earplugs! It's fun. And also the little hairs in your ears will thank you later on in your life, when all your friends are deaf and tinnitised. Of course, so will you, but less so.
Earplugs.
Do it! Save your hearing! Preventative health measure! Invest in cochlear because there's going to be a lot of near deaf music lovers in the future!
Loud noises will destroy the little cells in your ears that correspond to the frequency of that sound. And with current science there is no repairing/regrowth of the destroyed hair cells. Sure, there are *some* slight advances in stem cell research in this field, but when you get down to it, the mechanisms for hearing are so ridiculously fine tuned, all depending on pathways and basic physics with resonance etc that you realise that it is a far, far better thing to do to prevent than have a futile attempt of a healing post-destruction.
It's a bit like life.

Look at them! They're beautiful! Those little hair things, huh. So pretty. Yay for science and electron microscopy.

But now have a look below and to the right. When you start hearing ringing in your ears, you know you're in strife. Life will never be the same. Look for the fine detail, not loudness.

Join this group if you wear earplugs/earmuffs/stick fingers in ears etc etc. Earplugs are good. Use them wisely, use them well.

(What?! What did you say?! Argh! I think I've gone deaf! Look at my decimated hair cells. That's that I suppose.)
