  • The dubstep these days is quite shit, it's nothing like Scientist anymore.

    Born to die.
  • Datsik

I just discovered this genre last week, coming from harsh industrial, e.g. power-noise, aggrotech and breakcore / glitch. The first artist I heard was Datsik and his tracks are amazing! The very thick, wobbly bass, is incredible, and the way it is manipulated it sounds like Transformers! :) Great stuff!

I would like to hear it mixed with some percussion, since most his tracks lack prominent drums beats, though the bass makes up for that just fine. It would go perfect blended with some slow power-noise like Terrorfakt or some super-tech glitch like Xanopticon as well.

Chrissy Chris - Don't mess about, bit mainstream but, shit, I aint met anyone who hasn't loved it.

Not sure if this has been released yet (or if i'm going over old ground) but Calibre made this sick little ditty called Steptoe recently, not exactly dubstep, but you'll get me if you give it a blast:
