Sorry, but it's a stupid post.. A band THIS good cannot be judged on a song, not an album either..
Every single individual is a masterpiece in each way.
Every single album has something shiny and godlike attached to it, it would simply be too hard to pick..
Scenes From A Memory is very nice indeed, Six Degrees, too.. Images And Words is also brilliant, but a bit overrated, compared to other albums (take note here, it's still one of the best albums ever made).. Falling Into Infinity also has very strong parts, and Awake, their "dark and melancholic" album is extremely good, too.. It kinda depends on my mood.. I'm into Systematic Chaos and The Ministry Of Lost Souls, at the moment.. Octavarium is a bit underrated, i like them, taking off influences from mainstream bands.. They bring lots of elements into their music and blend it into one masterpiece.. About the song, though.. LEarning to Live was once my favorite song ever, but i realised, that every song is special (like i said), they might not seem THAT interesting, but i'm sure that you can find something unique about everything. Cheers.

  • Album: Scenes from a Memory.

Song: Home. I'm very fond of ITPOE and Ministry of Lost Souls at the moment, we'll see if that lasts after the YAY NEW ALBUM! rush wears off. I also love In the Name of God.

"We wanted to make an album that was cutting and aggressive and... balls, you know, throughout."

Metropolis II and so much underrated Falling Into Infinity, but I like every DT album.

From songs it would be Take The Time and New Millennium.

  • I am addicted to all their material, so its real hard to chose favorites....
so lets see, the albums: I was going to say Images and Words right away, but now I think about it, Awake is real close... (but they're all great!)

favorite song.... this is even harder...
    well some favorites are:

    Lifting shadows of a dream
    Take the time
    Innocence faded
    Endless Sacrifice....

but I might say four other titles in a week time..

  • My favourite album is Scenes from a memory (of course...?).

My favourite song by far is A Change of Seasons. It just makes me feel like no other song can. Plus it's just 24 minutes of pure DT, it's my favourite all-time song, too.

Take the Time (so damn catchy)
Only a Matter of Time (yay Dominici)
Act I: Scene Four: Beyond this Life
    Act II: Scene Six: Home
Act II: Scene Nine: Finally Free

Big man, pig man, hahaaa charade you are!

    EDIT: I forgot Metropolis Pt. 1!! Fantastic song! I know - it's a shame... ;)

  • Favorite Album: Awake
    Favorite Song(s): The Mirror/Lie

  • Is something wrong with your ears people or you just don't have listened to the album?

    Song: Stream Of Consciousness

    Album: Train of Thought

    by far

This is taking into account MOSTLY factors like:

    Playing difficulty,
    Overall composition/synthesis
The Feeling the songs gives you

    and LESS

I think song lyrics or Labrie's vocals should deserve a separate category. I mean there are excellent lyrics or vocals with poor music to support them.
