    I've just started the group Professor Longhair... Dr. John was my first connection after Fess himself! Lots of artists local to New Orleans and not connected anywhere else, as well as the obvious ones... branches out into Memphis and Detroit... soul, funk, blues, roots rock'n'roll, and of course the brass bands... Fess didn't have his own fanclub, so that's been remedied... come visit!

    Yes! While this might not matter to many, good ole Mac is coming to Vegas right around my birthday in March. I'm going as long as its on (two nighter) and hopefully I'll be able to come away with some pictures=) Holler if you're gonna be there!

    I highly recommend checking out Southside Johnny with LaBamba's Big Band's Grapefruit Moon. A really cool take an a bunch of Tom Waits tunes, a great listen. http://www.last.fm/music/Southside+Johnny+with+LaBamba%27s+Big+Band
