    Style?

I was wondering, what the style is called that is played by Lektroluv at parties?
And what artists can you recommend me that fit into this style?
I know it's called electro, but I guess there's a more specific name, because electro can mean alot of stuff (and alot of stuff I don't like too).
I have very few leads, but I absolutely dig this kind of music, so please give me a push in the right direction.

  • Electro-pop like the song he remixes from Anthony Rother

  • Hi, good question. I think style wise the naming is cultural and it's the location he is from Belgium.

Over in Belgium and also Holland there is a big dance scene they call electro. Really this is more what we in UK would call electro house and acid house or even just house! I see where your coming from in your question as really electro is much more varied and older genre as far as we know it from the general idea in our music press here in the UK. However the DR Lektroluv style is still a continuation of the old 80s electro with a acid house influence and with roots in Detroit electro house too. It's great I love it :)

    Check Labels:

(clone records)(viewlexx)(creme organisation)(news) for leads, also Myspace a good place to start finding. stuff as it links to all their friends etc.
