SUPERLIGA QUALIFYER. NEW ROUND COMING UP



SEASON 2011 SUPERLIGA








Denmarks Rock League is a place where interested can vote for danish artists, and these votes will be included in the scores in the voting ties between the artists. Like a football league.

See the rules in the link "how do I take part?" below or above via the description.

Its organised with a premier league on top of a level of 6 "so-called" regional leagues. These represent five broad genres (rock, "beat", dance music, "music to chill out to" (from classical to postrock) and "danish lyricism") and a wild card league for lesser known/listened to artists.

Qualification to the leagues are based on amounts of last fm listeners and member votes in combination. All is further explained in "discussions".

You dont have to be a member to vote in the rounds. You DO have to be a member to get reminders for when to vote and if you want to vote for which artists qualify for the leagues, between seasons. We are currently between seasons - but I will accept non -member votes in the superqual as its a league.

I hope the league will introduce interested to an overview of the danish scene, and give an indication on what is happening and whats not .... Plus its fun.

    ... by only allowing 3 promoters to the beatland and the klubland league, if they are two "relegators"to these "leagues". I kind of forgot about that ! As for Nice Little Penguins they will get awarded a place in the wild card league as "defending champions". Possibly a fifth promoter will have to be found in the regional, if Safri Duo and Alphabeat both promote or if Figurines and Dúné do.

    I have a question: Those 6 artists of the qualifier round that will not make it, will be playing in the regional leagues again, right?

    Remember you can vote again and again in the competitions for the regional leagues, as long as you dont vote twice in a row.

    So the new qualifying tournament will include: Safri Duo, Figurines, Tyr, Alphabeat, Efterklang, Nice Little Penguins, Dúné and Peter Sommer. Two places in the premier is the price. Its going to be interesting ...

    change in the rules about promotion/relegation from regional leagues.It can be read in the rules - but all will be explained as we go along. All I can say here is that it will involve The Fashion, Choir Of young Believers and People Press Play, as these actsalready have failed to secure themselves for next season
