  Anus has introduced me to dozens of bands I had never heard of before. Also thanks to the reviews on DLA, I'm now listening to The Red in the Sky Is Ours instead of Slaughter of the Soul.

  ANUS/DLA: Chronic trolling and assclownery aside, they were the first folks on the internet to boldly point out that the relationships between metal sound, metal imagery and metal lyrics are not relationships of coincidence. Where most of popular culture has existed in catatonic, navel-gazing daze for decades (centuries?), metal represents the restlessly slumbering consciousness of something ancient and excellent. ANUS gets it.

  Actually, it's "hated" (because really, barring the lulz, no one gives a fuck) more because you 100% derive your abysmal taste in metal and looney bin "ideas" (they all boil down to racism, making me think prozy was probably accosted by an ethnic gang) straight from prozak's assbabble.
