BOOK ON THE DARK UNDERGROUND SCENE IN PREPARATION - CF contribution?

Dear all,

I have the honour to propose that an article/essay about CF be featured in a lavish book about the inception, aesthetics, art & history of the "goth", i.e. dark counterculture, which I happen to edit (don't ask, it's a looong story).

Since many of you seem to have roots in that scene, or love dark music in general, I was hoping someone might be able to provide an essay about CF's activities, if possible from an iconoclastic POV -- and (now it comes) within the next few weeks(!) --

I know this is short, but my involvement in the project & the intricacies connected with it (and my own increasing blind spot in relation to the variety of subjects involved) prevented me from posting this earlier. Thus, "Eilige!" is the order of the day -- and knowing that Cryptofascists are a creative bunch, I'm optimistic that someone here will be proud to fulfill his duty as CF propaganda minister...

I hope the time limitation will not diminish the quality of discourse I've regularly encountered here, and that some courageous attempt at presenting CF as a vibrant part of the dark counter culture will be made.

I'd be happy to recognise CF in the course of the book, since it'll also deal with the controversy surrounding the neofolk- & industrial scenes.

This is a key question. I don't know if you have a tight deadline, but I would need to think a little while of a proper essay topic.

What is your deadline by the way?

have just read about this documentary exhibit catalogue of the Black Scene ...far now it looks great! honestly, i'm not good at all to write an essay... but i would contribute with my friend's rant ... i think it's quit proper for such book

ack too bad I missed this entirely!! I would have volunteered to take several opinions and organize them into a proper essay. English is what I do best (but you couldn't tell from my arbitrary internet posts haha).

I'm delighted to announce that there are plans for an English language, "international" edition of SD -- which will be slightly different in content -- which means that if you, Jester or anyone else (thanks for the semiotic machine gun, viceroy ;-) is welcome to send text and/or images to the e-mail-address given above. Since *space* and pagecount are real problems, text length should NOT EXCEED 3000 words. I can't promise anything as the DIJ-related are-they-or-are-they-not-discourse is already well covered, but something about CF's strategies & purpose would be nice -- if there's space enough pps even the manifesto or parts of it; we'll see, I will confer with my co-editors about all entries.
Anyhow, the deadline for the English edition is June 15th (but the earlier the better)


...and for the totally spontaneous: I'm currently involved in preparing a collection of essays celebrating the 20th Wave-Gotik-Treffen this year ("Black Celebration" ;-) which will be bilingual. But the deadline is *very* close: April 10th, but the text needn't be long; 1000 words max.
So if you feel you have memories, thoughts, pictures to share in relation to the WGT, Leipzig as a place to be/live/experience, or why you (dis)like the event, feel free to give it a try, and let us know.
