Music whose spirit hails from the rural south and west of the United States.

From the Opry in Nashville to the streets of Bakersfield, diggin' deep into the Hayride in Louisiana and up the belly of the Appalachians, along Sun studios in Memphis and outward again in a honky tonkin' joint somewhere in Texas.

So, just what the title says, with some other similar genres and sub-genres that belong--such as bluegrass, folk, country-rock, western swing, rockabilly, etc.

Now just make yourself at home!

    Yeah, so much good country & western out there; tough to listen to it all, especially when there's so many other kinds of musical genres afloatin' around. I think for the present I'm gonna focus on the alt-country music of the last 20+ years or so.
