    musicbrainz < discogs

The new version is quite annoying. I miss the musicbrainz database.

@VaiCavalo: That's because those songs don't have playing time data on Discogs/MBrainz, and it is needed to scrobble correctly, or at least that's what I've come to, regarding this issue. If you fill in the playing times manually, you can select and scrobble them afterwards.

Why is it for some releases I can't check the "scrobble" boxes for them!? It's very annoying.

searching for "AFX" - getting only "A-fx" - ? all the analord series vinyls showing under "Aphex Twin", which is not correct --> manually changing to "AFX" then, where applicable. something with PAN/ANV data getting from discogs, I guess

I don't know, i just clicked "check for update" and it told me a new version was available, then I couldn't get to the site.

Also, what "newest version for Mac"? There's only ever been one and it seems likely to remain so.

  • ulfurinn

Up and running. Sorry about that. And once again, please don't use the group shoutbox for issue reports. I won't see them.

Trying to download the newest version for Mac (currently running .2) and all I see is this when i try to go to the website: Error TracError: The Trac Environment needs to be upgraded. Run "trac-admin /var/www/trac/cog-scrobbler upgrade"

Awesome piece of software, simple, yet effective! Many thanks for it! :-) Although now something's wrong with the homepage, and since I had to reinstall my system yesterday, now I can't get the apt-line for the Debian repository. Can anyone help me out?

Fixed. Please don't use the shoutbox for critical error reports, it doesn't send any notifications.

Ah, now the scrobbler finds the album. Thank you very much!

I tried to do this, but do not know, which one of the IDs on Discogs the release ID is. I tried the Shortcut Code in the box "Release", the Barcode and even the catalogue#, but neither of them worked.

    April 2010
  • ulfurinn

A workaround for such cases is to note the release ID on Discogs and use the ID search in the scrobbler.

Somehow, my CogScrobbler can't find the album Ecailles De Lune by Alcest. It is registred at discogs but unfindable...
