thanks for getting on this so quickly - great bit of s/w

  • is there a mac version? I'm trying to use my cog scrobbler on OS X and like others I can't search.

  • HELP

I can't get Cog Scrobbler to work - it just says "Handshaking" for ages when I try and scrobble anything...

Any tips? Do I need to uninstall my last.fm scrobbler?

  • There will be no OS X updates until someone volunteers to maintain them.

  • Hi there. The website says that building from source is totally cool (I agree), but you don't actually link to either a source archive or a repository URL to clone/checkout from. Maybe you should add it to the download section, or to the "Build" page.

I was able to retrieve the source archive from the debian mirror by hand.

In addition to that, the build instructions aren't entirely accurate: After make install, you need to execute the ./install script.

To sum up, you may want to make it easier for people who don't know what they're doing as well as I do to install it on non-Debian Linux/UNIX machines. This would include expert OSX users, of course.

Want to scrobble vinyl? Use an Android phone? Try Vinyl Scrobbler - free, ad-free, and exceedingly cool.
  • Please e-mail me or send a private message if you want to get in touch about an issue. Forums don't send notifications and checking the board is not part of my daily routine, I've stressed that a few times already.

The Trac site is massively out of date, but I posted the repo URL on the group boards some time ago. I expect to get the new site up and running by the end of this year.

There should be no need for executing any additional scripts. I will review the source build procedure and clean it up.
