But what about Macs?

  • But what about Macs?

Short version: it's doable, but someone has to do it.

Longer version: CogScrobbler is built on Qt, which is ported to OS X, and the rest of it is just plain old C++ (with bits of STL and Boost, but still) but since I don't have a Mac nor do I know anyone with a Mac, I obviously cannot make the binaries for you :)

So what we need is someone who will install the Qt dev package and do the dirty work :)

  • Is there a source I might try to compile on my mac?

  • ...sans dependencies, which are Qt, Boost and libz. I assume STL would be bundled with g++.

    -- úlfurinn
  • Ok, checked it out, but now noticed that it's C++, because of the g++ ;) I thought it is C.... configure, make, make install :)
I will try to figure out how to get this done in eclipse then.... did that a long time ago and never enjoyed it too much. ;)

  • You don't really need eclipse just to build it though :)

    With Qt projects, it's `qmake` and `make`.
