it cannot be overstated how important ray's keys were to the doors sound.they had no bass player(NOT by design) and this allowed him as well as robbie to play any way they felt and opned up limitless possibilities.think about how many bands now do no have a bass player!!!! he was an excellent keyboard player considering this!!! i play piano so i appreciate his work!!!!!! this is no slight to jon lord who i love as well!!!!!!!
