Join us if you love the stars, soundtracks and style of Hollywood's Golden Age....

The Golden Age of Hollywood
In early 1910, director D. W. Griffith was sent by the Biograph Company to the west coast with his acting troop. They started filming on a vacant lot in Downtown Los Angeles. This place was called "Hollywood". By the 1930s, it became the Movie Capital of the World. The stars became international icons, and the movies became a part of everday lives around the world. After twenty years of success, by the 1950s the Hollywood Studio System was begin to collapse. Stars like Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor and Frank Sinatra were challenging the Studio's directly and as the 1960s dawned, the Studio System of fifty years had all but dissapeared. For many, this so-called "Golden Age" has never been revived - the style and class of a past Hollywood nothing but a memory.
