Charlie Gillett, BBC radio presenter, author, music publisher and champion of all music, died on the 17th of March 2010. This is a group to celebrate the music that he introduced to us.

After searching Last.fm for a group dedicated to Charlie Gillett, I found to my suprise that there weren't any at all.
Charlie Gillett introduced World music to thousands of people via his radio show 'World of music' on the BBC's World service. His radio programmes were a rollercoaster ride of music; genres jostling for place in a linear fashsion, next to each other overlapping and reflecting. From Dire Straits to Youssou N'Dour, Mariza to Rokia Traoré, Charlie Gillett's taste was not random but quality that showed no bounds.
