I`m just having a laugh, there`s still great music being made that I love. Even when I`m an old git I`ll stuff be interested in what the new generation are producing. I like to hear what`s new, innovative and fresh.

oh yeah is definitely the greatest song of all time, but surely a challenge to your daily routine should always be on the cards.personally i struggled with the later can stuff for quite some time(let's say ten years),but eventually i found a suitable balance between the motor driven early output, and the more funky later stuff...as i said, progress is important within an artform-just check out squarepusher's last few releases.

My favourite band, funky, hypnotic, strange, experimental and eternally magnificent. Give us this day are daily Can and forgive those who pollute are ear holes.

Although possible unfair, I second vitamin_x opinion. 'Oh yeah' is an overwelming sensual experience and Can's other anarchic motoritik efforts are sublimated tribal monologues. I am a new comer to Can and other german space rock/blah star blah bands but must say i find much of Can's later work more of a challenge without the hypnotic beats and free form babble of the former

i think you're being unfair towards their later stuff, which is just as good in it's own way.bands progress onto other things,if they have any chance of staying fresh within themselves.i mean,i'd get bored playing the same thing over and over again...although 'out of reach' was pretty bad,hehe...

Apart form certain tracks (like say 'Smoke' from 'Flow Motion') avoid anything from Can that does not involve vocalists Damo or Malcolm. If you stick to this simple rule, you will be rewarded by some of the most spiritual and intense music ever recorded. Holger's early solo albums are more worthy of listening than any of the later Can material. As an introduction, play 'Oh Yeah' from Tago Mago on headphones or speakers LOUD, and give it your undivided attention. If you have a soul, you will be rewarded. Even when listened to when you are sober, it is overwhelming. If you are stoned though, you may never be the same. Don't hesitate to check out this band, most certainly one of the most important of all time (and I confidently include all future days...'arf!...pun very much intended!)

War schon jemand im nachgebauten Inner Space Studio in Gronau? Wenn ja, lohnt sich die (in meinem Fall) lange Anreise?

Hello fellow Can-friends! Gotta small dilemma here, I looked at Can's Official page and elsewhere, and I can't find what I am looking for. So here's my question - Can anyone possibly send me a link either on my Profile page (preferably) or here as to where I can find a nice selection of CAN T-shirts ?? I looked all over the internet for a good hour now, and I can't find any at all. Thank you.

For those who wail against cans sound progression in the mid 70's, i'd say never lost their sheen the acoustic model just changed whilst the ears of some of their listeners did not.... Can were never like the other rock dinosaurs and evolved rather than remain some sad museum piece struggling to resurrect an old glory. You dont have to look far to find as many young groups from the 80's through t
