CLLCT, one of the best sources for independently made music is dead. Forever. RIP. Or not. Just Kidding. Word has it we're getting a brand spankin' new CLLCT.

I suggest that the followers of CLLCT use this place as a gathering grounds. Most of the artists that used CLLCT are still around, they're just very scattered. If you know where an artist might be hosting their music now, leave a link! I sure don't want to lose track of some of the musicians I found through CLLCT, and I doubt anyone else does either. So pull together, I think we can, if nothing else, build back a terminal for the music we've come to love.

From: Secret Owl Hello! I've got my old spark back, and we will soon have a new CLLCT to fill with wonderful music. It's going to take a while and we'll have to find a new host, but we'll do it. Thank you, everyone, for your support and loyalty to CLLCT. I'll send out a new newsletter once I've gotten something working. Also, if you've been to cllct.com, you've seen the "mediamail" thing or whatever. Fuck that shit, that isn't me - the volumedrive people did something to the address. Being from the UK, this type of lo-fi indie and folk music is just not on the minds of the masses. It was a refreshing thought that the CLLCT was there when you wanted to hear something real and so so often, beautiful and poignont. I am glad the music is still out there but I will miss it. Scarfboy.
