    kings of leon arn't british

  • most of them sound identical to each other

  • Not brand spanking-new, but decent nontheless...

    1) The Ordinary Boys
    2) The Rakes
    3) The Holloways
    4) Pull Tiger Tail
    5) The Go! Team
    6) Maximo Park
    7) The Pigeon Detectives

Drink up- there's still sober kids in India.

    The enemy are awful!

    but yes,

    Guillemots (travis-ish vocals)
Thirteen senses ( they are kind of new ;))
The upper room ( similar to the lightning seeds in my opinion)
The young knives (questionable, there first single sounds rather close to the manic street preachers, homosexually close.)

  • the enemy were quite possibly one of the most boring bands ive ever seen. and putting the twang in the same sentence as oasis is a crime, unless that sentence is "oasis are very good, the twang are the opposite."

to be honest most new bands are rubbish. none of them are doing anything worth listening to.

its cos im secretly a grumpy old man who hates the young people. but seriously...someone good has got to come along soon! not just all these bands all doing the exact same thing...badly.

  • the holloways are amazing
    and u gotta hit babyshambles

esp if you already liked the libertines

    and if you don't

    check them out too

  • I like these 2 songs lately

Vampire Weekend – A-Punk [Single Version]
Vincent Vincent & The Villains – pretty girl

  • Not that new, and not really British (although based in London), but I highly recommend The Veils.

And there's my band, The Silver Wizard Project, and we're very new having only been going for a short while.

  • josecharts, VW are American (but still HIGHLY recommended)
I'd say Los Campesinos!, Cajun Dance Party, and Foals are all great.

    Nobody expects the spanish inquisition
  • I just came across the Felt Tip Thieves recently. They remind me of The Kooks a lot. Last.fm has pretty much nothing on them so here's their myspace.
