For this size it sounds surprisingly big! A few pictures of my first encounter with B&W PM-1 can be found @Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/at0mac/5805894498/in/photostream

@sylbert: I don't know if it is relevant anymore, but I have B&W 685 since 2008, and they're fabulous, considering the price. Before buying I have listened to many similar and slightly more priced speakers, and these small B&Ws impressed me the most. I especially liked the fluidness (smoothness) of the sound, and they also coped very well with every music genre I tried. These two characteristics are still valid with B&W 685 in my living room :). I tried several amplifiers and sound sources, and I decided to pair them with Rotel RA-04 and Marantz CD5003. Pairing with the Rotel has really strong and little warmer sound, compared to some other amps I tried (I don't remember the models, but I tried several Marantz, Cambridge Audio and NAD). And the Marantz CD player proved to have less "muffled" sound (and better stereo imaging) than several Denons and Onkyos in the same price range, and even better than some 2x more expensive DVD/blu-ray players I tried. So... that's my experience :).

It has been improving all the time. I think when I first joined, the only option was apple lossless, then they added flac, then the 24bit, and now we get more music than before. Always something new.

I am happy about the back catalog on the music club site, too. This way I could download an early b&w music club release ...

Great idea for a last.fm group! I've loved everything from the club so far, but the latest release by spiro is especially nice -- that first cut "The White Hart" is so joyous it just makes me push repeat repeat!!

The most recent release is the best so far. I don't mind the world music but I prefer the uniqueness of a acoustic/minimalist group.
