Radio tracks don’t play until pause-resume (beta 2.1.16)

  • Radio tracks don’t play until pause-resume (beta 2.1.16)

Using Last.fm desktop application beta 2.1.16 on OS X 10.7.3, when I listen to a radio station each track sits at 0:00 producing no audio, as if it were paused or buffering (except it isn’t). If I hit Pause and then Resume, the track plays immediately, but the very next track exhibits the same behaviour.

    Known bug?

  • Same here as well.

  • Ditto - has anyone found the solution. Guessing it must be a conflict on our systems, since it makes it quite unuseable, as more people would have noticed! Looked in the Logs - seems to be getting a command from the appleEvent tree - could this be linked to Airfoil's script to control Last.fm from remote speakers?

  • Same thing on same OS.

    Same thing

  • Radio tracks don’t play until pause-resume (beta 2.1.17)

Similar problem with 2.1.17 qt 4.8.0 on OS 10.6.8. My mix radio will play track after track as long as I don't skip one. After skipping the next track loads but doesn't play until I hit pause, then play.

Same behavior on OS X 10.6.8

Also, continuous playback is not really working without some kind of interaction. In order to get playback, you have to toggle the play/pause button.

  • Ditto. 10.7.3

Little Snitch was coming up with a few blocks for QTKitServer (which I permanently allowed). That didn't resolve the problem.

  • Radio tracks don’t play until pause-resume (beta 2.1.16)

Just installed 2.1.17 on iMac 2.7GHz Intel Core i5 with OS 10.6.8 (64bit) with all the latest system updates.
Have NOT been experiencing this "Only plays one track at a time" issue when listening to the radio stations. Using an relatively fast ethernet connection at work. No wireless. No Bluetooth. Using internal speakers.

    2.1.19 should solve that.

“Brazil’s cattle industry [...] is responsible for about 80 percent of all deforestation in the Amazon. In fact, the Brazilian cattle industry is the largest single source of deforestation anywhere in the world. And deforestation in turn causes one-fifth of all the greenhouse gas emissions in the world, more than all the world’s cars, trucks, trains, planes, and ships combined.” - Lindsey Allen, 2009. Actually one-tenth.
