As for the whole patriotism debate, I recently rediscovered an Erich Fromm quote that pretty much sums up my whole philosophy on the matter: "Nationalism is our form of incest, is our idolatry, is our insanity. 'Patriotism' is its cult.... Just as love for one individual which excludes the love for others is not love, love for one's country which is not part of one's love for humanity is not love, but idolatrous worship."

Nobody is pointing a gun at your head to join and the door is open for you to leave, if you wish. You are free to do it, if you feel so offended, nobody is going to stop you. Personally, I just feel that patriotism is an empty love for the state where you live. Isn't anarchism the rejection of state, borders and all that oppressive shit? Being a portuguese myself, I love a portuguese person as much as a indian or a chinese; nationality and country are meaningless. As for the bands, if you take art and music always literally , you are more closed minded than I hoped. Besides, I'm not saying that all these bands are anarchists or pacifists; they just have at least a certain number of interests that this group shares.
