    And I did not find clementine is a better player than Amarok is. Just… If again to them, Exaile would be the choice.

    Amarok is a great player, yeah. But as I gave up using KDE (then GNOME3 too), I gave up using Amarok. Some while after that I used Exaile/Rhythmbox. Then switched to XMMS2 (but it does not have a proper random-play yet). Now I'm with mpd + mpdscribble, and it's time when I'm happy as I don't have to care: having set it up once, I leave it playing and live listening. Worktime: software engineering, debugging, hardware repar. SW Environment: lightdm + awesome + luakit + mpd. C/Lua/bash/Python.

    When on random not playing, when you double click on a song in your library, it gets added to playlist, and SOME ANOTHER RANDOM SONG STARTS PLAYING. This is so lame, as the whole amaroK 2 thing is. Screw you guys -- I'm going home. Gonna try clementine. Disowning the group for sure.

    just downloaded Amarok because Rhythmbox and Banshee couldn't find the track info for my CD, Amarok seems to work great but the tracks aren't scrobbling to Last from CD play :-(

    This is the only player on my laptop (an Asus Eee 4G) and it works great! Got no complaints, and it's good for enjoying my music collection!

    All those players with extensive playlists (like iTunes, Songbird, Clementine, old Amarok) are just wasting space on my screen. Amarok (2) uses it much more efficient. Amarok 2 was indeed quite a leap, but I really like it.

    Amarok2 works pretty well these days. It does some UI stuff that occasionally crashes my video driver, but could be E17's fault as OpenOffice does it too. Some of the changes take getting used to -- it will not automatically tag your MP3s (use Picard), and to play randomly you have to load your entire collection into a playlist, then shuffle the playlist. It took awhile, but I now like it better than 1.4.

    I'm using amarok 2.4.0 on kubuntu 10.04. everitihg works fine except playing music from last.fm. when i double-click a message appears in the status bar down on the left, but i can only se half of the message... "To listen to this stream you need to be a ???" A what?! Somebody help me please. Thanks!
