    kn3z's weekly recomendations!

so now when galactica's on a well deserved break you're probably wondering what to watch now.
of course, i am here to help you!

i will try (and i'm not making any promises) to recommend something cool to watch every week here.

and to kick us off, the first one will be:

    porno valley!

it's a reality/documentary 13 episode series following the porn industry in LA, focusing on vivid entertainment. maybe you've heard about some of their girls, like Jenna Jameson, or Briana Banks?

the cameras follow them literally everywhere, and if you ever wondered how the porn industry actually works (and i know you have) this will be an eye-opening, thought-provoking and emotionally-engaging experinece of not actully porn!

here is an excerpt froma a monologue by briana banks (she was doing a scene with her fiance's ex fiance, kira kener), loosey interpreted by me:

i went to the props table and took the biggest strap-on i could find, went back and shoved it into that bitches ass!

    better late than never! ;)

    this, ehm, week's recommendation is:

    Arrested Development!

an incredibly well-written, well performed and funny as frak sitcom about a wealthy family who lost everything and one son who had no choice but to keep them all together... It's Arrested Development.

despite its critical acclaim and a cult fanbase, the show struggled in ratings and never lived passed season 3.
so, there isn't as much to download :)

the show was so compelling for me that i watched it all in just 4 days.

to keep this short, here are just a few teasers:

every member of the bluth family has his or hers own chicken impersonation, none of which actually resembles a chicken.

the grandpa's name is george, the father's name is michael, and the son's name is George Michael.

every website shown on the show is real.

tobias fünke, a former psychoterapist describes his work of a psychological analyst and therapist as analrapist.

    i've made a HUGE mistake :O

    ATTN nuggets!

this week's recommondatin is - rome!

in this exciting and realistic show we follow the events of the death of roman republic and the birth of the empire through the eyes of not just historical figures such as caesar, mark anthony or cleopatra, but also some common people caught in the fire of events of historical turmoil.

the production really sets new standards for historical dramas - say, gladiator has nothing on rome :)

and as fas as story and charachters go - i can say that much of the things that attracted me to galactica can be found here: complex and deep characters, amazing acting, great writing, that nervous feeling you get between episiodes... you get the ficture :)

so without further adu - watch the show. it's got 2 seasons, by the way.

Where are your weekly recommendations, Mr. Knezevich? Activate yourself a little bit ((:

There's new show going on: Californication, starring David Duchovny. I found it really amusing and David's acting is quite good. Tonight is the new, seventh, episode, so turn on your favourite torrent client tomorrow and enjoy the show! (:

    back by popular demand!
(thou i never really went anywhere)

    this week's recomendation is:

    FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS!

bret and jemaine are two new zealand musicians who moved to new york in search of success for their band, the flight of the conchords which they describe as "formerly new zealand's fourth most popular guitar-based digi-bongo acapella-rap-funk-comedy folk duo". to help them in thier quest for fame (and chicks) is their band manger, murray, a deputy cultural attaché at the new zealand consulate.

i'm not gonna spoil the fun by revaling the plot's details to any of the potential viewers, but i am gonna put some qoutes here. just to be a tease.

Jemaine: Man, back in New Zealand I was getting it on with lots of chicks.
    Bret: Who?
Jemaine: Well, ah, Sarah Fitzpatrick, Michelle Fitzpatrick, Claire Fitzpatrick... the list goes on.
Bret: That was all of them.
    Jemaine: Well, triple figures.
Bret: No that's not triple figures. That's three.

Jemaine: There is only one kind of dance: the Robot.
    Bret: And the Robo Boogie.
Jemaine: Oh, yes. Two kinds of dances.

Jemaine: why can’t a heterosexual guy tell a heterosexual guy that he thinks his booty’s fly?

Murray: A lot of New Zealanders come over here and they come into my office. I give them reflective vests, a map, I tell them to stay away from large crowds by going through back-alleys, yet almost everyday a New Zealander is mugged!

Season one just ended airing on HBO!
