Anberlin, Jack's Mannequin, Bayside, Valencia and Hit The Lights were all my favorites this year. I also liked Coldplay's new album and I do admit Alkaline Trio's new album was enjoyable same with Weezer's and Thrice's even if they definitley didn't meet my expectations. Maybe if a miracle happens Folie A Deaux will actually be a good Pop Rock record but I doubt it...

Bayside's album Shudder is amazing. So much more upbeat than their previous work, not at all what I would've expected, and that's probably part of the appeal.

But now it's me and luck

Ra Ra Riot - The Rhumb Line
my personal favorite from '08. just an absolutely wonderful and enjoyable album with really understated and well-crafted songs.

rlly enjoyed the new Jason Mraz disc too, but not the best of the year.
