    Converting non-hip hop fans

Out of curiosity, has anyone ever tried it? What artists would you reccomend for doing it?

  • I introduced some guy I used to hang out with(heavy/powermetal person) into Hip-Hop with tracks from MF Doom and Del. Don't know if he still listens to the genre though.

  • Lauryn Hill - The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill (Mix of Rap and Soul) <I started with this. Hated rap until I heard "Lost One"
The Fugees - The Score. Just awesome....lyrics with actual meaning.
Black Star - Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star...also great lyrics

MINIMAL PROFANITY ^^^ (If they hate because profanity every two words those will not disappoint)

and Nas - Illmatic. If they don't like lyrics with profanity DON'T show them this. a lot of profanity here.

Until recently I used to hate hip hop before I got into grime and it's fair to say I'm now converted. For those of you who don't know what grime is:

    Grime music

Maybe getting them into grime will change their minds- especially if they like dance/electronica
