Since the one thing we can say about fundamental matter is, that it is vibrating. And since all vibrations are theoretically sound, then it is not unreasonable to suggest that the universe is music and should be perceived as such.~Bill Hicks

I think the album What we Must by Jaga Jazzist has a little post-rock, so Jaga is one of my favourites too.

  • Godspeed You! Black Emperor
    Slint
    Explosions in the Sky
    Sickoakes
    Mogwai
    Sigur Rós
    God is an Astronaut
    Red Sparowes
    EF
    A Silver Mt. Zion

  • Top ten? Oh my, how can I decided. Well, in no particular order:

    Mono
    Midoriyama
    DSCO
    Labradford
    Miaou
    Envy
    Toe
Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra
    World's End Girlfriend
    Left

eek, I barely scratched the surface. There are hundreds of great post rock bands. I've yet to hear a truly bad one, most often they just lack memorable moments.
