Description:
This is a group to help users get into different genres if they would like to and to learn about the making of that genre aswell.
This was the first Anthropolgy of Metal and helping fellow metalheads and not quite there metalheads. Altar just copied my vision (although just more active than here)

Manifesto
The group was founded by HumanRejection who created the first detailed account of all heavy metal sub-genres. Despite a rocky start the group picked up with interest by the user base on Last.Fm and changed the way users looked at different types of metal.
The group’s main ambition is to become a recognised site in which worldwide fans of all musical tastes come and check out the hype about certain metal scenes within heavy metal. Teaching the values of metal and explaining the types of metal that have been made during the last several decades. A detailed account into Heavy Metal is right here on a click of a button with recommendations for starters and contributory factors for experienced metalheads. It is also a place to chat and personally communicate with fellow music lovers in an environment where the members running the site are as much in love with the subject as metalheads in general.
The site will also have bonus rewards for contributors that have worked hard to put in information to the encyclopaedia. The group works like a Wiki where users are encouraged to participate in the information that is published; however, it goes further to as it rewards the users with points which in turn can be replaced with membership, subscription benefits and/or gifts of some sort. It is not that it’s run on bribery but the group runs on quality feedback and rewards those whose work is irreplaceable. More Details Here
The group is to expand metalheads and potential interested fans of other genres into what they are most likely to like. The site is given like a book with certain genre overviews about the certain forums. It explains clearly about the history, musical aspects and other interesting facts in the genre which will help the user to make their judgement on what sort of metal they would prefer. Yes, of course there are users (and me) that can help you further by personally recommending you certain artists which will ease your way into the metalworld, but in metal it is about finding your edge on the music not another person’s expectation of you. The overall purpose is effectively make the users that join and reads the discussions of this group better equipped to their music style and expand their tastes.

Note: there will be overviews of all sub-genres of heavy metal and explainations about certain aspects of the genre in question
