We like music to be found on
Archive.org/details/78rpm
and stuff like that.

Early in the 20th century, gramophone records replaced cylinder recordings (phonograph cylinders).

The dominant recorded music format was the 78, referring to the speed the disc rotated (in revolutions per minute, RPM). By the late 1940s the 78 format faced stiff competition, from 33.3 & 45 RPM technologies, but production of the format continued into the early 60s. So, for about 50 years 78s were in common usage - Quite some innings, for a recorded music format!

This group's for people interested in music from those times and, in particular, those interested in the content of Archive.org/details/78rpm, where hundreds of these recordings have been rendered into digital formats, for free download.
