Sad Wings-Hellbent for Leather is their best-era but Rocka Rolla is one of their worst. It's still better than Ram It Down, Demolition, Turbo and Nostradamus though.

vv I was only refering to their post-70s stuff. But Rocka Rolla is better than Killing Machine imo.

Rocka Rolla is better than every album but DOTF maybe.

If you like good ol' Judas Priest, you might like Argent too. They're not metal, but very classic with great sounding keyboards and vocals of mr. Rod Argent himself. I made a group for this band. You people can visit and join if you want.

I know their vinyl Sad Wings of Destiny thanks to my dad! It's just a master piece... Why better than their later work imo.

Sad Wings of Destiny, Stained Class, Sin After Sin <3 . But Rocka Rolla and Killing Machine are great too. Unleashed in the East might just be the best live album E-V-E-R. [ I do like their 80s stuff, though.]

I give you that. It was better than most post 70's.

No it was, though not as good as the 3 albums that came afterwards, but then again better than most of their post 70s stuff.

    Let's just admit it. Rocka'Rolla wasn't good.

not enough people appreciate the greatness of 70's priest. i'd take their catchy, gimmick-less, masterful 70's songwriting over the later stuff any day.

Sad Wings and Sin After Sin are my two favorites. But Killing Machine is very close...

70's metal is the real thing. And as the biggest Priest-fan in the world, I say Stained Class is their finest work, followed closely by Sin after Sin!

Stained class , Sad wings of destiny , and sin after sin are such classy albums .... don't know what else to say .. well .. the after 80 release British steel and Painkiller was awesome too ... but the earlier mentioned 3 albums are masterpiece

The 70`s material really overshadows their later work in a whole (although they made great albums like Screaming and Painkiller). But the fact is that their later lyrics are significally weaker than the 70`s stuff. Just listen to Stained Class and then to British Steel.
