Really loving the 4AD Sessions videos. Ariel Pink's set was great. Will M. Ward get the same great 4AD treatment and perform a session? I liked pretty much everything I saw in all the sessions and it's compelling me to pick up a few of those releases. Maybe I'll start with the Blonde Redhead one...

there's a record store down the street from me that has an entire section dedicated to 4AD records. if only they had some Red House Painters vinyl in that section...

I agree, Namey. I can't speak for others, but I am still the kind of person who wants to purchase physical copies of albums and streaming full songs increases my chances of hearing something new in the catalog and then going out and buying it. If you've never heard of 4AD then there isn't even a mystique to speak of. I've barely scratched the surface of their offerings and it was merely coincidence that led me to discover that Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti was signed to 4AD. Sure, that increases the likelihood that I will buy their albums, but 4AD didn't start me on that path, and your idea would improve the situation. I refuse to believe artists WANT to live in obscurity. Sure, not everyone is going to like a given release, but personal taste is more the standard than mystique should be.

4AD do a great disservice to themselves not allowing their music to stream here while lesser names get all the fans that completely miss their grand catalogue...Helps to retain their mystique I guess.
