Recomendation, please? Dark, dramatic sound?

  • Recomendation, please? Dark, dramatic sound?

I'm looking for most deep, intensive, dark, cold, dramatic (mainly solo) violin, viola, cello works.
Extra personality, experimental, contemporary sounds are warm welcome!

I seek solos because they are very hypnotic and minimal of course, but please share with me everything that enter in my "dark atmosphere category"

Pss if you know some excellent dark piano, recommend it too please!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Please help me! :o)

  • Check out Henryk Gorecki's Symphony of Sorrowful Songs (No.3). It's not a solo but it has an incredible dark cello (and/or bass?) part at the beginning. Its one of my favorite pieces of music.
