Jessica Jung (Korean name: Jung Su-yeon; Hangul: 정수연; Hanja: 鄭秀妍); born April 18, 1989), better known by her stage name Jessica, is a Korean American singer, model, and dancer. She is a member of the Korean girl group Girls' Generation. She made her debut as a singer on August 5, 2007. Jessica was born in San Francisco, California. She auditioned at the SM Casting System and joined the company in 2000. She was trained at SM Entertainment for 7 years and 6 months. Jessica is a 2008 graduate of Korea Kent Foreign School. As she was raised in the United States, Jessica can speak Korean and English fluently. Her younger sister Krystal is member and lead vocalist of girl group f(x).
