Группа КИТАЙГОРОД была основана в 2002 году.
Концепцией творчества группы является объединение всего лучшего из музыки
«старой школы» с актуальными и современными веяниями нынешней музыкальной культуры.
КИТАЙГОРОД - это смесь эйсид-джаза, блюза, пост-рока и трип-хопа. Они находят баланс между умиранием и воскрешением, между энергией и спокойствием, между красным и черным. Сквозной мотив - мотив перерождения. Этот звук горяч, но уже остывает, и скоро загорится вновь. Момент напряжения уже спал, но кровь все еще вращается по телу быстрее, чем обычно. В этой музыке ловится сложное и многомерное напряжение, в каждый момент разное и всегда какое-то отдельное, самостоятельное.
The group KITAYGOROD was founded in 2002.
The concept of the group is the combination of all the best from “old school” music with the modern tendencies of the contemporary music culture.
KITAYGOROD is a mixture of acid-jazz, blues, post-rock and trip-hop. It finds the balance between death and life, energy and quietness, red and black.
Leitmotif of the music is the motive of reborn. This sound is hot, but it is cooling down and will catch fire soon. The stress moment has gone but blood is still circling through the body faster than usual. One can catch complex and multiple tension in this music. It is different in each moment and separate and independent simultaneously.
