and no, @jdotperiod .. between her and St. V , the adjective of the year seems to be 'slinky' .. there's also about a dozen totally cringe-worthy lyrics or moments, though .. only half of it is like, totally solid (Water Fountain, Look Around, Sink-O, Stop that Man, Wait for a Minute, Rocking Chair) .. the rest (save the interlude i guess) all have moments that are really genius, but could've probably benefited from more editing (Time of Dark, Real Thing, Left Behind, Hey Life, Manchild) .. i also think the pacing isn't as strong as either of her first two; i think i like it better on shuffle than i do as it's laid out
I think it's her best album. The more I listen to it the more I like it. Find a New Way, Water Fountain, Real Thing, Look Around, Sink-O, Stop That Man, Wait for a Minute... Even the interlude is interesting. It's full of energy and great songs, which work well as a whole. The ideas of w h o k i l l are brilliant, but I think they executed better her sound in this one.
