  • After coming off the 3-year high of the intense skull-smashing Imprint, I remember buying Bliss when it came home, all excited to blast it, and upon first listen, was struck with this sick, sinking feeling. Clearly the major label deal with TVT must have forced their hand to make some feeble attempt at radio rock success. Granted, it's not a terrible album compared to most rock bands, it just is a very forgettable VOD album for me. I see why Bloodsimple fans prefer this one. I got into VOD in the mid 90s. I do like a few songs like the title track and On The Table, and cannot stand the Alice in Chains-ish songs like Southbound, eek.
  • This album reminds me of Full Devil Jacket.
  • Probably the best album before The Cursed Remain Cursed, but the lyrics and nu metal production aesthetic damage it for me. If you like this, I highly recommend Bloodsimple's first album; it's very similar, but more developed.
  • This is my kind of heavy record, well-thought out. Huge heavy guitars, great riffs... intelligent arranging and dynamics with probably the most important thing of all BIG HOOKS and strong melodies on top!
  • This album's really solid. I thought it was much better than Bleeders.
  • Pre Bloodsimple bliss
