I think Steve Roach is better at tribal too. Just look at "Origins". I love certain Vidna Obmana albums and all his collabs w/ Roach, but some of them like "Echoing Delight" are just very basic, shallow, and rigid feeling.
Mazaro cut it with the stupid comments. Both Vidna Obmana and Steve Roach are ambient pioneers and have created beatiful music.But if you want to make a comparison, Steve Roach is more skilled in beatless/drone ambient but Vidna Obmana in Tribal ;)
